UIChess

I'd like to introduce you to UIChess (Discord), a highly customizable user interface designed for playing games on the Lichess.org server using the API board.

The customization requires a basic understanding of (Blender 3.6 LTS).

With UIChess, you can engage in 10+0 normal games that are not ranked.

Additionally, if you initiate a different type of game on the web app Lichess.org, it will start into UIChess and persist even if you close Lichess.org.

When you open UIChesswhile a game is in progress, it will display the ongoing game. Note that only games allowed by the API board can be played. ranked is currently unavailable.

"Supported time controls include Rapid, Classical, and Correspondence. For direct challenges and games against AI, Blitz is also an option."

To begin playing, you'll need a Lichess account and must create a Token with the following scopes enabled: 'challenge:read,' 'challenge:write,' 'board:play.' Paste this token in the connection screen.

You also have the option to open Lichess with a preloaded token directly from the UIchess connection screen.

UI customization and logic adjustments can be made by opening the project .blend file (with Blender 3.6 LTS) located in "Assets\Default_BOX" with Blender 3.6.

Detailed instructions can be found in the README within the Scripting editor. Feel free to customize the game's sounds by replacing them with your own in the "Assets\Default_BOX\Sounds" directory.

Please be aware that the game is still in development, so occasional bugs may arise. If the game crashes for any reason, you can still open Lichess to complete your game.

Currently, my focus is on enhancing the playability of the game. If you encounter any bugs or have questions, don't hesitate to the discord server uichess.

During gameplay, you can review previous moves using the arrow keys and press the space bar to return to the current board position (pressing the space bar reset the board if you are not in game).
